Xi Phi has been dubbed the “Environmental Justice Chapter” for its ongoing work and effects in promoting environmental justice and climate education in Harlem and beyond. Led by the venerable Bro. John Staton. Xi Phi is on the forefront of action with its Intergenerational Environmental Justice Committee. On EARTH DAY, Xi Phi and partner organizations hosted a workshop entitled, “Our Power, Our Planet,” spearheaded by our very own Bro. John Staton. Leading EJ Group WE ACT and others presented on EJ and Climate Justice topics. Bro. John Williams, professor of Environmental Justice at Columbia University, lectured and his graduate students lead the discussion.
